In January of 2013, my then fiancé was transferred from his job in Chicago, Illinois, to Berlin, Germany. I quit my job, packed my bags and tagged along on the most amazing adventure of my life.

Without a work visa, I spent my days wandering the streets of Berlin, immersing myself in the culture (Hello, schnitzel and hefeweizen!) and being inspired by the incredible street art on nearly every surface.

I began to focus this inspiration on designing the invitations for our wedding. Several weeks later I had not only designed our entire wedding suite, but also had folders filled to the brim with illustrations, patterns, invitations to all sorts of events, greeting cards and art prints. This is when I decided to open my shop.

In March of 2013 I started an Etsy shop called Jelligun- a combination of my first name, maiden name, and married name. Since the beginning, Jelligun has grown to include greeting cards, notepads, art prints and coffee mugs. My colorful, humorous and quirky designs, have been featured on website such as Bustle.com, Buzzfeed.com and StyleCaster.com.
